I was recently selected by Influenster to receive a Make Up For Ever VoxBox with the brand's highly popular Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation. I've alway had a positive experience with the Make Up For Ever brand so I was really excited to try this product out.

Shade Range
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation is available in 40 shades ranging from fair to dark in cool, warm and neutral tones to accomodate a spectrum of skintones. This is a brand that understands that a limited range of shades just won't do when it comes to foundation. The R shades have pink and red undertones and the Y shades have yellow undertones. My shade is Y255 Sand Beige, a yellow based, mid toned beige which looks a touch warm when dotted on my skin but once blended, it evens out my complexion with an almost imperceptible finish.

Finish, Coverage & Wear
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation provides light to medium coverage with a natural demi matte finish. The product itself has a liquid texture that blends easily whether you're using your fingers, a brush, or a sponge. It goes on like a dream with my Artis Oval 7 Brush, which buffs the product in making my skin look airbrushed. And there is no fragrance yay! The coverage is variable since you can apply it with a light hand or build it up for more coverage.  It offers good medium coverage but this would probably not be for you if  you're looking for full coverage. It's worth mentioning that even layered, this foundation still maintains a pretty natural look without caking. The light diffusing formula feels weightless and comfortable to wear while imparting a more polished appearance to my skin. This foundation has some pretty impressive lasting power as well maintaining a fairly fresh and smooth appearance and true color (no oxidation) after 8+ hours of wear without the use of any powder, primer or any touchups. I don't usually wear powder by the way. It also holds up fairly well under extreme heat and humidity. This foundation isn't especially hydrating or drying but since my skin naturally lacks moisture I usually use it with a primer and top off with a facial spray. When paired with Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer, I don't have any issues with overall dryness or the dreaded clinging to dry patches. I think I might have to add an extra layer of moisture when using this during the winter months though.

My Impressions
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Fluid Foundation gets some serious points for it's wide and varied range of shades. The pump dispenser packaging also gets points from me for hygiene and ease of use. As someone who isn't fond of wearing foundation because of how it feels, I am a fan of how this one makes me forget I'm wearing any because of it's virtually weightless second skin feel. I also like the coverage which makes my skin look like my skin only better. The wear is also fantastic. And yes it does create a soft focus effect that actually makes my skin look better in front of the camera. I'm also wearing it in my friend Allie's vlog on the Origins launch event we attended recently if you're interested in seeing this in 4K video action. Now I wouldn't mind if it had more of a satin or dewy finish because that's more my thing but the demi matte finish does differentiate it from the other base products in my collection. All in all this is a very good everyday foundation for achieving a flawless looking complexion. I can totally understand why it's a bestseller now.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation is $43 and is available for sale at Sephora and Make Up Forever.

How brilliant the brand offers 40 different shades of this foundation - especially as lately I keep being surprised by finding some foundation are only available in a handful of options?! Hope you're having a fabulous week so far Rowena!

Although I'm a full coverage kinda gal, I love the sound of this MUFE foundation, Rowena:) I've always been a fan of the brand. Their colour range is phenomenal. And I'm really digging the demi matte finish. You look fab, chingu!
PS That's a cute vid with Allie:) The contents of that swag fab must've been great.

I'd try this out just for the amazing array of shades (love the yellow and red tones). Your skin looks great as well - good to hear M4E is worth the hype!

I tried this foundation a few times before and I couldn't make it work for my skin. I find it to sit on top and just look cakey on me. I have never tried setting it with a facial spray though, maybe that's the missing trick?

How funny, I first tried MakeUpForEver makeup last year, I was impressed by the colours because for me it is incredibly difficult to find my shade as I am in-between many. I like a sheer to medium coverage because I am a bit low maintenence when it comes to putting on makeup these days, haha. Aside from Lancome and YSL not many brands carry my shade so this range looks great. Cute photo of you Rowena. :)/M

Y205 looks like an ideal shade for me, I've tried one MUFE foundation but it was so yellow, the lady at sephora has picked.

The way you describe that foundation makes it sound really interesting to me. On a daily basis I don´t need full coverage and I prefer a demi matte finish over a dewy one any day. Next time I am at Sephora I will make sure to test it and see how the finish is on me.

I'm jealous Rowena! It looks fabulous on you! It looks like skin. I purchased it and it didn't agree with me for some reason. I don't know if my skin is too dry. It just got powdery. But so many have had success with it. I didn't even review it I was so disappointed (that it didn't work for me). But overall, I struggle with their products.

Thanks Rowena! We've gotten a lot of rain in spurts. So no flooding, but if something like that came here we would be just as devastated. I watch what is going on in Texas in increments because it just gives me flashbacks to what I experienced during Katrina. There's another hurricane (Irma) and a depression out in the Gulf. So I'm watching those closely. Would head to the condo in Cincinnati if something heads this way. New Orleans' pumping system is really compromised. It's been a fiasco. Thanks for asking about me (HUG), I will definitely keep you posted.

You don't look like you've applied anything at all! I've heard about this before from Tati but haven't really tried it. It sounds really good! I'm always looking to find a foundation that also has skincare benefits haha

You look so cute and fresh-faced! I also admire the wide shade range with a number of yellow based options! Something like Y215 would suit me. :)

This was one of my first foundations and I really enjoyed using it, though I'm curious to see how it's changed since they've reformulated it! The finish looks lovely and natural on your skin! I'm also curious about the Artis brushes, everyone is raving about them!
