Why Vitabrid C12 Is A Brand To Know

Vitabrid, Vitabrid C12 Review, Vitabrid Review, Vitabrid C12 Brand, Vitabrid C12 Barneys

One skincare ingredient, that has made a real difference for me lately is vitamin C. An antioxidant, vitamin C, is highly effective at protecting skin against free radical damage which speeds up the process of premature aging, dark spots, and wrinkles. Consistent vitamin C use has been proven to  result in more even skin tone and healthier skin overall. So I was really excited when I first learned about the K-beauty brand, Vitabrid C12 which launched last year exclusively at Barneys New York.

And that is also when I learned that vitamin C can be beneficial to hair as well. It can protect the scalp from UV exposure, strengthen thinning and weakening strands and help to prevent hair loss.
Vitabrid C12 harnesses the power of vitamin C with an exclusive breakthrough proprietary complex known as Vitabrid CG. Vitamin C is mixed with stabilizing zinc which encapsulates the nutrient’s potency while enabling a continuous time released absorption into the skin and scalp over a period of 12 hours. The groundbreaking compound can be found in all of the brand's range of skincare and haircare products.  Developed at South Korea’s prestigious Ewha Woman’s University, Vitabrid CG has been recognized as one of the most innovative technologies while winning a number prestigious beauty awards around the world over the last two years. Interestingly, the company that initially created the product is actually a technology firm, not a cosmetics company, and they own the patent for this delivery technology.

When applied to the skin, Vitabrid CG promotes collagen development, resulting in more youthful, brighter and radiant looking skin with less fine lines and wrinkles. It also provides protection from the damaging effects of UV rays. When used on the hair, Vitabrid CG stimulates collagen synthesis and minimizes free radicals in the scalp, helping to prevent or delay hair loss and promote hair regrowth. Vitamin C is the most definitive and the safest substance for boosting collagen synthesis in the scalp, improving metabolism and making the hair stronger. Vitabrid CG is a key component in the range of Vitabrid C12 which includes a shampoo, anti-hair loss treatments, skin brightener and anti-acne solutions.

I definitely believe that scalp health is the key to hair health. It makes so much sense and in the same way that our pores have a direct impact on the condition of our skin, our hair follicles do the same with the state of our hair. Of course our heads have way more sebaceous glands, those things that produce sebum. If not properly maintained,  this can lead to a buildup of oil, dirt, dead skin, sweat, and other impurities which results in issues like oily hair, itchy scalp, dandruff and even hair loss.

I don't have any scalp issues and I'd like to keep it that way. I believe that the case because I have settled into a haircare routine that works for me.  I typically wash my hair twice a week, switching between a scalp treatment shampoo and a a moisture rich shampoo. Before trying Vitabrid Scalp Shampoo, I was using Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo which is also a good one.  Vitabrid Scalp Shampoo is clear in color, with a faint herbal scent and a slightly watery texture. A dime sized drop is enough for my hair. The shampoo works into a soft foamy lather that rinses away easily. I have tried using it both with and without conditioner and I find that I can get away without using the latter since the shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft, manageable and clean. After a month of using Vitabrid Scalp Shampoo, my hair hardly sheds. My husband who did use to have scalp issues when he was washing his hair everyday, has also been using this shampoo. He likes how it thoroughly cleanses and conditions and that it keeps his scalp itch and oil-free. There's nothing I don't like about Vitabrid Scalp Shampoo and I plan on repurchasing it when our bottle runs out.

Vitabrid C12 FACE Brightening Powder

Price: $60 Twice daily 3-month supply (0.11 oz/3g)

Vitamin C has been shown to help promote skin health and radiance by working to neutralize the damaging effects of free-radical activity from sun, stress, and pollution while repairing visible signs of aging. Vitabrid C12 FACE Brightening Powder changes the way Vitamin C is applied to the skin. This breakthrough formulation stores and preserves active Vitamin C within skin-friendly mineral layers. Upon application, active vitamin C is continuously released transdermally, promoting collagen production. The result is skin that looks and feels revitalized and a firmer, healthier, and more luminous complexion. The FACE Brightening Powder can be combined with water or any skincare product (serum, essence, cream or toner) for a potent antioxidant boost. It is suitable for all skin types including sensitive.

Key Ingredients
•  Vitabrid CG (Active & stable vitamin C) – Ascorbic acid, zinc oxide, glyceryl monostearate
•  Niacinamide helps to brighten the appearance of discolorations
•  Allantoin helps soothe, hydrate and calm the skin
•  Adenosine helps prevent skin damage from UV-B and promotes collagen synthesis, improving visible signs of aging
•  Hydrolyzed collagen helps improve skin tone, thickness and moisture retention

I was already using a vitamin C powder prior to trying the Vitabrid FACE Brightening Powder so I had some idea of what to expect. I'm definitely a fan of vitamin C in this form since it is more stable. Using it has a bespoke feel since I can easily customize each treatment based on the current condition of my skin. The Vitabrid FACE Brightening Powder is packaged in a compact yet weighty plastic bottle with a screw off cap that feels both clinical and luxe at the same time. There is a small window on side of the bottle which shows how much product is inside. A fine white powder, the product dispenses out of the tapered nozzle.  The instructions suggest using two taps of product. I like to mix this with my Saturday Skin Freeze Frame Beauty Essence and applying it onto my face following toner. The powder dissolves instantly and smoothly. I've been using this product in the morning for over two weeks and my skin looks brighter, more even in tone and clearer overall. Beyond that my skin just feels healthier. I was getting pretty good results from the other vitamin C powder but I have to say that it's been even better since I made the switch. The advanced technology of this has me hooked and I can't imagine being without it now. This type of application is both practical and travel friendly. This treatment can be used morning and night. I prefer to use it in during the day to get the sun protection benefits and I also pair it with a vitamin E product to boost its effectiveness.  I don't use it at night since I have different goals with my evening routine. If $60 sounds expensive to you, keep in mind that one bottle is supposed to be a three month supply, used twice daily. That works out to 33 cents per use which is quite reasonable. I'm all about cost per use over the overall price for everything I buy btw.

The Vitabrid C12 Dual Mask is a super soft and substantial sheet mask made of a hypoallergenic, non-stimulating microfiber. It is well sized with decently sized and placed cutouts. The mask is generously soaked in essence but not so much that it's dripping. It has an almost non-discernible scent. The recommended wear time is 15 - 20 minutes and it is a comfortable wear. I've had it this mask for up to 40 minutes without any issues. Upon removal, my skin appears visibly brighter, clearer and feels firm and refreshed. The next morning my face has a slightly more luminous and smoother appearance. I've used this mask a few and I'm always amazed by the instant boost of radiance it provides. It's a little pricier than the sheet masks I usually use but it's the type that would be perfect to use before a special occasion.

K-Beauty does it again! I'm a real fan of all of the Vitabrid C12 products that I tried. The scalp shampoo in particular was a revelation. They really worked well for me without any issues. The advanced technology they employ to stabilize and time release vitamin C really seems to amplify it's potency and efficacy. These products have been transformational and this is a brand that I plan on getting to know better. The range of Vitabrid C¹² products are available for exclusively online at Vitabrid.

This brand sounds pretty great, chingu. I must admit that Vit C is something that I've never incorporated in my skincare or hair routine:( I think I tried a sample of a Vit C serum once and it didn't agree with me so I've been kinda scared ever since...sigh...I know I'm missing out especially since I read all these great results people who use it get.
Thanks for always featuring these great brands, my friend...although my wallet hates you...bwahaha:D

I knew Vitamin C is good for the skin, but I didn't know it was so good for the hair. This shampoo with vitamin C sounds great. My hair is pretty healthy and I'm satisfied with my hair routine (I've been using the same shampoo brand for years), so I'll probably won't be trying out any new shampoos, but the other products from Vitabrid brand sounds like something I could try. This C12 Face Brightening powder with vitamin C sounds like something my skin could use. The Vitabrid C12 Face Dual Mask sounds fantastic too! It seems very easy to use. Nice to know that this face mask had a great effect on your skin.

Have a great week ahead!

This brand sounds excellent, I would really like to try that mask. And yes so true about the scalp. My half-brother is a tricologist and he works with people with scalp problems but mainly hair loss. He says it is good to brush your hair alot every day. I should do this more.

This sounds like such a fantastic brand with great products! I didn't even know about the benefits of vitamin c for hair, but it would make sense that the ingredient would be beneficial to our scalp and hair follicles. Will add both the shampoo and the powder to my wishlist as I can see myself really enjoying both. Thanks for sharing!
