Reading... Where'd You Go Bernadette. Seeing the trailer to the film based on this book starring Cate Blanchett recently reminded me that I had wanted to read this so I'm finally getting around to it. I was asked how I read books and the answer is that I usually borrow and read them on my iPad through the SimplyE app which connects with the New York Public Library.  This saves money and doesn't add to clutter.

Watching... Kingdom on Netflix. I'm actually quite over the whole zombie thing but somehow the way this drama depicts them in a Joseon era setting is a rather refreshing and compelling take on the genre. The production is cinematic quality and it was so good we ended up binging all 6 episodes in one afternoon. We can't wait for season 2 now. The last time Ju Ji Hoon played a crown prince was in Princess Hours and I had the biggest crush on him back then. He's a much better actor now. Kim Sang Ho who's one of my favorite character actors plays his royal guard.

Listening... to FT Island's Nowhere. I'm obsessed with this song and it's on constant replay. The guitar opening is my favorite part!

Drinking... David's Tea Organic Cream Of Earl Grey. This rich black tea pairs the lovely citrus flavor of bergamot with a touch of creamy vanilla. It's the prettiest tea and makes for the best London Fog lattes which I make by adding almond milk and letting my frother do it's thing. Did you know that bergamot in high quality Earl Grey tea contains D-Limonene which has been shown to stimulate the autophagy process in which the cells in the body recycle and clean themselves.

Eating... this Verde Veggie Bowl with roasted broccoli, charred avocado, kale and black beans, super seed crunch and a lime poblano sauce. I have not been able to replicate it at home so we're regulars at Mulberry & Vine these days. I could seriously eat it every day but 1 -2x/week keeps me happy. It's so delicious and total skin food too!

Keeping... dry skin away with Brazilian Bum Bum Cream.  This luxe, fast absorbing cream provides long lasting hydration while leaving my skin feeling super soft and smooth. And the beachy scent totally reminds me of summer.

Enjoying.. the Sulwhasoo Essential Lip Serum Sticks that I purchased after finding out it was the lipstick Song Hye Kyo wore in Encounter. This serum based lip color with a hydrating and anti-aging camellia and safflower oil complex feels really nourishing and comfortable on the lips while adding a sheer wash of color. Shade 2 is a clear pink and 8 is a lovely soft mauvey pink.

Wearing... this metallic star sweater which I picked up on sale at Bloomingdales for $30. Fun knitwear makes me happy.

Loving my recent haircut. After doing the messy undone thing for awhile, it's nice to have a structured hairstyle again. I wasn't sure about getting a full fringe because the last time I did that it made me look like I was twelve but I think my bangs were just too short then. My husband who encouraged me to go for it, loves it as well.

The Lunar New Year is tomorrow and I would like to wish everyone who is celebrating a most joyous new year filled with much happiness, prosperity, good fortune and good health! Gong Hei Fat Choy! Gong Xi Fa Cai! 新年快乐! 恭禧发财! 새해 복 많이 받으세요! Of course I'm making this dish for our New Year's dinner.

Gong Xi Fa Cai Rowena! :) I hope you have a lovely time celebrating. We usually have a traditional banquet - my father in law is the best cook, but due to family availability we will be celebrating it this weekend instead of mid-week.

Your new haircut looks lovely too!

Hope that you had a great weekend :) We had a fun but busy one with a kids birthday party. I've just posted my weekday wear linkup on my blog if you want to join :)

Happy Lunar New Year. Libraries are a great way to keep down on our book number and ebooks are perfect for decluttering. Borrowing through an ipod sounds great, shame we don't have this option with libraries here. Maybe we do, but I don't know about it? Ebooks can be very convient. I have a kindle installed on my computer, and I sometimes buy books for it. I also download classics or read them online on project Gutenberg. I like to read books in regular form, though. Sometimes reading from screen gives me a headache. I try not to buy new books anymore, because I have so many of them already.

I love your new haircut, I think you look great with bangs! Also thank you for the tip about borrowing ebooks from your local library via an app! I decided to check my library to see if it had the same service and was so excited to see it did, hopefully this will get me reading more now. Happy Lunar New Year to you and your family!
