Current Mood

Reading... Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine.  Part suspense and part whimsical love story, this novel is at times dark and at times hilariously charming.

Watching...  Street Food on Netflix. This documentary series which combines mouthwatering food porn with compelling stories of the people who make it is both fascinating and inspiring at the same time.

Listening... to all my iTunes music and rediscovering many old favorites among my library of 2,288 songs which I cleaned out recently. No more Big Bang in light of the Burning Sun scandal. I didn't dump FT Island or CN Blue because the band members who didn't do anything wrong shouldn't be penalized for those who are garbage people.

Eating... Sweetgreen's Spring Burrata Green Goddess Salad which is proof that healthy can definitely be delicious. I'll be enjoying this seasonal salad as long as it's around.

Cooking... with the All-Clad D5 Brushed Stainless Steel Covered Weeknight Sauté Pan which is my new everyday pan. I've actually been transitioning all my cookware to All-Clad. All-Clad pans are well worth the investment because they are high quality, heat evenly and will last if you take care of them. This was such an incredible deal with Macy's Friends and Family Sale discount and 12% cash back from Ebates. I know I'm going to be using it for many years to come.

Drinking... Pukka Organic Chamomile Vanilla Manuka Tea.  The is the perfect tea to unwind with after dinner. I definitely want to explore the range of Pukka Herb teas.

Having... some fun with my hair color thanks to Eva NYC’s Chameleon Color Sprays. The pink is my favorite and it actually shows up on my black hair.  I love that these are as easy to use as they are to wash out.

Easing...  pain with Asutra Melt Pain Away Magnesium Body Butter. I don't talk about it much but I deal with chronic pain from some past injuries and this product helps to relieve that while also providing soothing overall comfort. I swear by this company's Magnesium Bath Flakes as well.

Bringing.. the fragrance of summer indoors with the Diptyque X Pierre Frey Candle Duo Set.  Mimosa has always been one of my favorite Diptyque scents because it is so vibrant and uplifting while Geranium is very refreshing and soothing at the same time. Of course I'm using the cute box for storage.

Personal update: I'm infection free which is a huge relief! Still keeping my fingers crossed while waiting on the results for my iron levels. Thank you again to everyone who left encouraging comments here or reached out to me when I wasn't well. It meant the world!

This hilarious remake of Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Round MV that Paul Rudd and Jimmy Fallon did had my husband and me in stitches laughing. They really nailed it frame by frame and Paul Rudd's impression was spot on. He even did his own singing.

That novel seems like an interesting read, I might pick it up. Pink hair spray sounds like fun, I think it's a great alternative to dyeing one's hair. I might try it too. I love pastel highlights, but I have no intention of bleaching my hair to get them.

How horrible to hear about that Sun club incident. One wouldn't have expected something like that from a K-pop star, at least I wouldn't. I agree that other band members shouldn't be punished for something one individual did. I always feel bad for professional athletes who have lost their Olympic gold because someone in their team was misusing while they were innocent. It doesn't seem fair, does it? Lately I've been listening to a lot of songs by Dimash, he's a Kazakhstan singer with an amazing vocal range, hearing him sing is like hearing a whole band together.

I am really curious about the color spray from Eva. I think I'd like the pink better, too. Just like you, I like my hair dark but I get bored with it sometimes. I've been reading about the Burning Sun scandal on my twitter feed - it's really disgusting but they still haven't gotten to the bottom of it and those real "VIP"s seem to be protected. Ugh.

Oh that salad sounds awesome! I wish I had access to that here. We are trying to incorporate more salads at home and my husband needs really robust ones.
I had only read a bit about the scandal, but that article reveals so much about the culture as well. I had no idea the extent of it - how sad.

Well, you know my heart is in good cookware ... I have a few All-Clad and Demeyere pieces that I used interchangeably. It's really lovely to hear that you are infection-free, all the best for full-on recovery, Rowena. Have an enjoyable week, dear.

I started watching Street Food too, and while I had hoped for more food shots, I enjoy learning the story behind the people who make them! Vanilla manuka tea sounds so delicious and comforting, I love having a selection of non-caffeinated teas in my pantry so I can drink them at night to help me relax!
