Still in summer mode around here while looking ahead to our upcoming vacation to Hawaii which we're in the midst of planning. Yes I'm already thinking about what to bring.

Items acquired from last month's wish list:
Tie Strap Floral Smocked Maxi Dress
It's as breezy and cute as I thought it would be, not voluminous at all.  I now own a maxi dress.
Purchased size S. Fit is TTS.

1. Everlane  Linen Picnic Top
This light and airy apron-style top has a classic look which is both versatile and feminine.

2. Madewell Tie Palisade Pilar Stripe Button Front Midi Skirt
This striped button front skirt has the cutest details from the swingy midi silhouette to the waist-accentuating tie detail to the pockets. I'm all about skirts and dresses with pockets.

3. Soohyang Mini-Candle Set
I actually fell in love with this pretty candle set when I smelled it at 10 Corso Como last weekend. The only thing that kept me from buying it is that we weren't going straight home afterwards. The Itaewon 565 and Gangnam 8 candles are both absolutely intoxicating. Love the tagline for this brand: "Life is better when you smell nice.”

4. Rebecca Taylor Romy Tie Back Jumpsuit
This jumpsuit which combines a touch of whimsy with a sense of polish seems like it would be equally charming dressed up or down.

5. Gemini Sandal
These metallic sandals totally appeal to my granny meets tomboy aesthetic. Yes that's really how I refer to my style. I borrowed it from Jenna Lyons. It's granny because it's modest.

6. J.Crew Turban knot headband
Like Blair Waldorf, I'm a fan of a good headband and I'm into the turban knot detail on this one as well as the blush pink color.

7. re:p Bio Fresh Mask With Real Calming Herbs
This soothing mask infused with real calendula and chamomile flowers to instantly soothe sounds like it would be perfect to use after my Clear + Brilliant and at home microdermabrasion treatments.

8. Hair by Sam McKnight Cool Girl Barely There Texture Mist
This texturizing mist sounds like it would be an effortless way to create an undone look.

9. Cocoon Tea Artisans Organic Earl Grey Tea Caddy
I love earl grey tea as much for it's taste as well it's health benefits. This invigorating organic black tea blend is packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to boost energy and dental health. I stick with high quality Earl Grey tea because the bergamot in it contains D-Limonene which stimulates the autophagy process in which the cells in the body recycle and clean themselves.

10. Maison: Parisian Chic at Home
This book by style icon Ines de la Fressange and artist Marin Montagut goes inside 15 real life Parisian apartments to showcase how to imbue a home with a sense of well-being through a mix of vintage and contemporary styles. It sounds like it would have some great inspiration.

I was also looking at linen pieces myself, but I'm wondering if it's too late in the season for me to pick any up since it's almost September. Although, I know that the hot weather in NYC can last until October sometimes.

I'll also be going to Hawaii soon! But I haven't started planning anything yet aside from booking the hotels and flights 😬

Books sounds very interesting. I would like to read it because I like Parisian interior style. Jumpsuit is so beautiful. You can't go wrong with polka dots.

Yay! A Currently Coveting edit; you know how much I love these posts from you! The blush hair band is a lovely design; I have a plush version I recently bought and adore! :) x

That red top and striped skirt would look so good together! I really like that jumpsuit too, I wish I could pull off a jumpsuit! Being petite it's tricky, plus when you add having had two kids and having to share the bathroom with those kids, it's just not a practical outfit at the moment, haha!

Hope that you have had a great weekend :)

I immediately gravitated towards the tea! What can I say? I guess you can call me a teaholic since I drink at least two cups of the hot beverage a day. Earl Grey is one of my favourites too. I love the aroma as well as the delicious taste! Definitely my first choice! -
