Reading... The Flatshare. The premise of two people who have agreed to a rather unusual living arrangement actually reminds me of something out of a K-drama but the way the story is unfolding is actually quite sweet and heartwarming. And I'm enjoying the way that author Beth O'Leary develops the characters as well as her style of writing.

Listening... to old school Cantopop which actually makes up about 1/3 of my music collection. Rediscovering some old favorites like Swing's Empire State Building (帝國大廈), Kay Tse's Wedding Invitation Street (囍帖街) and Hins Cheung's Rave(不吐不快) which I can't help but sing along to.

Watching...  Instinct. We've been meaning to check out this show out because we've always enjoyed Alan Cumming's work. Of course just as we're getting into the second season, we find out it's been cancelled. It's not the most original concept but the acting is solid and it's actually filmed in NYC.

Eating... niçoise salad. I make salad for dinner regularly during the summer and I've been obsessed with niçoise salad lately. I think it's the combination of textures and bright flavors.  It does require a little more prep because of all the cooked components but it's always worth it. I keep it classic with seared tuna but sometimes change it up with seared salmon.

Drinking... watermelon cilantro fresca. Sweetgreen included a recipe for this drink in a recent email and it sounded so good I made it immediately since I had all the ingredients on hand. The recipe calls for 3 cups cubed watermelon, 2 tsp chopped cilantro, 1/4 cup lemon juice and 2 1/2 cups water.  Combine all the ingredients in a blender, blend on high for a minute and pour through a fine mesh strainer. It's that easy and so refreshing. I'm going to keep make this until I can't get watermelon anymore.

Loving... Peter Thomas Roth Pro Strength Exfoliating Super Peel. It's such an effortless product that produces impressive results. Will post a full review soon.

Wearing... two items from my recent wishlists. This floral smocked maxi dress and these metallic sandals have both been welcome additions to my summer wardrobe.

Trying... CBD with the Feals Flight, a discovery pack of the brand's three different doses. I've been interested in CBD for it's anti-inflammatory, stress-reducing, and sleep-enhancing benefits. Feals pairs its CBD with MCT oil to make it even more bioavailable to the body.

Happy... that our co-op complex is making an effort to participate in more green initiatives including programs with refashionNYC which is a clothing and textile reuse program and GrowNYC which composts food scraps.

So this is CBD oil for ingestion? I have been curious about it, I only know it from therapy for chronic pain sufferers.

I didn't read this book but now I am thinking to check this book, I am not watching any drama series right now but spending my time watching some good movies on Netflix. I love what you are wearing these days. A maxi dress is a perfect attire in this humidity. Lovely post dear.<3

The Flatshare seems like an interesting book, I could use a sweet read. Instinct sounds like an interesting show, too bad it was cancelled. The cast looks good and it is good it is being filmed in NYC. Great to hear about the new initiative (refashion) and about NYC becoming more green with these kind of textile and food recycling programs.
The salad you're trying sounds yummy and let us know about how the oil worked for you.

Nooo! I had no idea Instinct was cancelled! Season 1 was a little slow but I love Season 2 and thought it was much better. My heart is broken, first Elementary gone and now Instinct! Ugh!

Your outfit is so cute. Looks like the dress can be easily worn with jackets or cardis and make a nice fall outfit. And, I will look forward to your full review on the PTR peel! :)

I recently tried CBD oil myself because a company was giving out free samples at an event. I normally have the worst social anxiety, but halfway through the day, I noticed how calm I felt. It's on the pricier side, but I love how it's natural and how calm it makes me!

I just got the PTR Pro Strength Peel but have been hesitating to use it because it seems really strong. But since you're seeing great results with it I'm going to give it a try tonight!
