A Few Favorite Facial Masks

Facial Masks, Facial Treatments, Beauty Products, Favorite Beauty Products

This is essentially recent loves - the face mask edition. I'm a big fan of using facial treatments to boost my skincare routine and/or address specific skin issues. During the summer, it's all about replenishing moisture as well as soothing and nourishing. All of these products are formulated without any controversial ingredients and are cruelty-free.

This award-winning, moisture boosting face mask is loaded with hydrating botanical oils, plumping hyaluronic acid, and concentrated plant extracts to transform dull and dehydrated skin to smooth and supple skin in 20 minutes. The plant derived actives are sustainably harnessed into bio-available nutrients so each ingredient is optimized for absorption. This facial treatment has a creamy and silky texture that feels soothing upon application and it works just as it claims, leaving my skin feeling soft and more moisturized after I rinse it off. I've been using it whenever my complexion is in need of a boost of moisture and it always delivers. This mask was a total skin saver for me when I was on the Musely FaceRx regimen which was pretty drying at times.
$65 (1.7 oz / 50 mL) at Revolve and Design Milk

With a rich cream formulation, this luxurious, renewing face mask utilizes an advanced blend of botanicals to smooth and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while moisturizing and nourishing dry skin. An anti-wrinkle hexapeptide softens the appearance of expression lines while skin tightening pullulan creates the illusion of firmer, tighter skin. Imperate cylindrica extract optimizes collagen synthesis and moisture retention and a blend of soothing German chamomile, jasmine, narcissus, and mimosa flower waxes soften and hydrate. This product can be used as a regular mask that you leave on for 10 - 15 minutes and rinse off or it can be used as an overnight treatment. I have tried it both ways and I definitely prefer it as a sleeping mask. I use this 2 -3 times a week. I actually look forward to it because I can always expect to wake up to a more refreshed, toned and luminous complexion. This is like a facial in a jar!
$165 (1.7 fl oz / 50 mL) at BloomingdalesSkinStoreAmazon, and Chantecaille

Formulated with squalene and hyaluronic acid, this mask is an instant dose of hydration that also restores resilience. The antioxidant properties of camellia seed oil visibly brightens skin tone, calms skin, and prevents irritation, while camellia petals help to exfoliate dead skin cells. With the backing of extensive scientific research, Femmue products harnesses the cellular energy of flowers to utilize their healing and reinvigorating powers to support and strengthen  skin. I adore this mask which features crushed flower petals in a gel-like suspension. It has a wonderful light floral scent and is such a lovely way to cool, calm and hydrate my skin. I actually discovered this brand a few years ago and am a fan of most of their facial masks. I really need to write more about them.
$42 (1.76 fl oz / 50 g) at Revolve

This waterless mask is a a unique spa grade buffing treatment composed of a buttery soft blend of macadamia oil, argan oil, squalane and honey that gently exfoliates skin with a grain mixture of rice bean powder, mung bean powder, and black bean extract. It polishes off dead skin and forms a protective barrier that imparts deep hydration and nutrition to the skin. I tend to be wary of physical exfoliants since some of them are a little harsh and draw moisture out of the skin. This buffing mask does a wonderful job of sweeping away impurities and dead skin cells off my face, leaving it feeling soft, polished and nourished. I use it once a week. And it works just as well on my dry sensitive skin as my husband's oily skin. I also adore the clever spill-proof and water-proof bottle it comes in.
$27 (1.69 fl oz / 140 g) at Peach & Lily (Get $10 off your first order)

Hey Rowena,

So happy to read that you are back and once again thanks for your motivation and for your feedback on these blog posts! They really motivate me to keep creating and to explore this kind of topics! ❤️

And I hope everything is going a bit better on your side! I missed this kind of content talking about beauty and products that can improve our daily selfcare routines.

Probably this kind of boosters are the things that help us to achieve the best version of our skin. And of course we prefer things that are cruelty free and as clean as possible. I haven't tried a lot of masks like this but I am adding some to my beauty wishlist, specially the Circumference in depth hydration face mask for the upcoming fall-winter season ;)

Take care and excited to check your upcoming content!
