Eye Candy : Park Shin Hye & Park Hyung Sik For Elle

 

I had mentioned that we've been watching Doctor Slump and honestly it's become a little spot of weekly sunshine. Doctor Slump is a romantic dramedy that stars Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik as high school rivals who meet again as adults after they have both fall into a slump in their respective careers. They end up striking up a friendship that helps them heal and maybe more. While there is a serious side that tackles depression, I like how it doesn't stigmatize the subject and the friendship that builds between the two lead characters is heartwarmingly sweet. 

Maybe because I only recently watched The Heirs, I keep thinking of Shin Hye as Eun Sang and Hyung Sik as Myung Soo. I wouldn't call this a reunion since their characters had limited interactions. Anyway we're really enjoying Doctor Slump and this editorial featuring Shin Hye and Hyung Sik adorably shows off their chemistry.  I'm not crazy about the styling but they both look amazing and also great together. It's so good to see Shin Hye make a return to acting after getting married and having a son in 2022. She was kind of on an action kick for awhile which was fun but slice of life dramas like this always more relatable. Hyunk Sik's character Jeong Woo is so much fun here. He seriously reminds me of Min Hyuk from Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Doctor Slump is currently airing on Netflix.
