NeoStrata Skin Active Intensive Eye Therapy Review

Eye Cream Review, Anit-aging Eye Cream

I started using eye cream when I was in college and it's a move that has really paid off. I'm still religious about eye cream and am always on the lookout for the latest anti-aging innovations. After all the eye area is one of the first to show signs of aging. the eye cream I'm currently using is NeoStrata Skin Active Intensive Eye Therapy.

About the Brand: NeoStrata Skin Active is a comprehensive anti-aging system of potent professional products with active benefit ingredients that work synergistically to address the broadest spectrum of visible signs of aging. The NeoStrata Skin Active system is made up of high performance products formulated to deliver outstanding rejuvenating effects.

Product Claims: Contains a unique SynerG Formula 6.0 that employs a multi-mechanistic approach to building and plumping the deep layers of the skin for exceptional results. Apple Stem Cell Extract protects the longevity of skin’s own stem cells so your skin behaves like younger skin. Peptides stimulate matrix components to produce more collagen, and together with patented NeoGlucosamine® reinforce collagen’s surrounding support structure. The eye area appears more lifted, and crow’s feet are smoothed from the inside out. NeoGlucosamine® also inhibits a key enzyme in melanin formation, reducing the appearance of uneven pigmentation. Caffeine helps deflate puffiness under the eye, while hyaluronic acid acts as a natural moisture magnet. Vitamin E provides antioxidant benefits. The result is noticeably younger looking eyes. Ophthalmologist tested.

Key Ingredients: SynerG Formula 6.0, Apple Stem Cell Extract, Peptides, NeoGlucosamine, Caffeine, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E

Packaging: A minimalist metallic bottle with a pump dispenser

Price: $79 for 0.5 oz.

My Impressions: This eye cream has a really lovely silky texture that feels kind of like a cross between a serum and a cream. There is no scent which is always a plus. It absorbs quickly and hydrates my eye area pretty well even though it's been cold. I haven't had any issues with irritation and my skin is on the sensitive side. This cream settles in with a smooth finish so it works well under makeup. I've been using this twice a day for about two weeks and I feel like my eye area appears smoother and firmer. I don't think it's done much for my dark circles but I also haven't been sleeping that well lately. While this eye cream isn't inexpensive, the cost isn't prohibitive. I could see myself picking it up again if I start seeing some positive results on my dark circles with continued use.

NeoStrata Skin Active Intensive Eye Therapy is available through NeoStrata. You can learn more about the brand through their site.

Well, $38 isn't that expensive, I expected more when I read your thoughts. I think that I'll be using it for months. I really liked all the benefits described about this product! You know what, it's funny as I started using an eye serum for the first time 2 weeks ago. I decided to purchase one and to see if it really works and I am happy with the results so far. Unfortunately, time is flying and I don't want to wake up one day and to see my first wrinkles in the eye area. Glad to hear you are happy with this product! Have a wonderful weekend, Rowena!

I agree, it's never too early to use creams and anything anti-ageing! Because you will see the results years later. Great that this product is working for you!

Morning Rowena! Eye area is very important too and as you Ive started to use eye cream early, I cant live without it! This one sounds really great, I didnt know the brand though but for sure Id like to test it as well, the fact isnt a scent is good as I dont like the one that got it. At the moment Im using one from Caudalie, which also whitens a bit the dark circle. Have a wonderful weekend my dear, many hugs! xo

I have had a huge addiction to eye creams for years (long before I even had a crease!). However, I never can find one that I really like or that I think does something...

I am like you, Rowena and I am huge on eye cream however, $79 is crazy for an eye cream, just way too much imo. I have seen this brand in my local drugstore and have read pretty good reviews on the products too. Might just try it when my current ones run out. I have 4 eye creams in rotation and am in the midst of testing one now.

I struggle to make eye creams part of my daily routine. I should try harder bc my skin around there is pretty horrid! Lucky you started the habit so young.

Sounds like an amazing eye cream. I haven't tried this one yet but I also used one with apple stem cell extract that I loved. Eye cream is probably my favorite beauty product. I have started very early to use it. I was still a teen. I think it pays off haha. My favorite is an eye cream from a German drugstore. It says 50+ but I use it anyway lol. It's pretty great but I always love to try new things. So I should try other ones too. Have a happy Saturday Rowena!!

I've used couple of NeoStrata products & they're really effective. But as for the eyes, I would prefer gel if possible. Happy weekend, Rowena! xoxo

I am still on the hunt for a good eye cream. To be honest if it is just anti-aging and keeping wrinkles at bay I do not think you need a special eye cream. Any cream that combats this and is good for the skin should do. I think eye creams should be used to combat a specific problem of which there are generally three: dark circles, puffy eyes or fluid under the eye and baggy eyes which are fat deposit and no cream in the world can get rid of that. But puffy eyes and dark circles could be helped but this is a tall order and I have yet to come across an eye cream that really works for either of these conditions. And I have been looking for a decade and half.

I've only recently started moisturising my face (I know, it's terrible), but I'm definitely planning on moving towards eye creams as well, because you're so right.. the eyes are the first place on the face to show signs of ageing! I hope your weekend is going well so far, Rowena! :)

Really helpful. I need to use products like this, I get way too lazy with my skin care regime.

Hi Rowena,

This Neostrata eye cream sure sounds promising. I have 2 different eye creams sitting around and that's one of the laziest thing to apply coz I feel that they make my eyes oily and take forever to settle into the skin. Maybe I should take a look at this.

RYC:
No worries on the response, Rowena. Just really happy that you're on IG! Wow, you 2 have been together for 20 years? It is either you two are much older than us (which certainly, you look young in the little glimpse you revealed on your blog) or else then you two have been together since you were teens or very young. Totally agree on taking lots of effort, love and respect. I wish the both of you all the best too and may your love for each other continues to shine.
