What's In My Bag

Purse Peek, Purse Contents

I shared the contents of my bag in this post a few years ago and thought it would be fun to do an update to see what has changed and what has stayed the same. I would say that more has stayed the same and the items here are pretty much my purse essentials.

This Lo & Son's Pearl Crossbody Bag has been my go-to purse for a few months now and I just love it. It's both compact and roomy at the same time and has a chic classic look that goes with just about anything I wear. I love that I can tote just my essentials but it can also easily accommodate my umbrella, camera or tablet as needed. This bag rocks!

Supergoop Forever Young Hand Cream: I always have a tube of hand cream in my bag and this is a current favorite since it effectively moisturizes and provides sun protection as well.

Koh Gen Do Refresh Skin Spray: This herbal lotion mist is a wonderful way to refresh and moisturize my skin on the go and I'm a big fan of facial sprays in general.

RESCUE Pastilles: Those of you who've been with me for awhile might remember when I was suffering from vertigo spells and tinnitus. This made me prone to anxiety attacks and I discovered RESCUE pastilles while checking out at Whole Foods one day. These natural and homeopathic pastilles made from flower extracts were developed by a doctor and really work to calm me down when a panic attack hits or when I'm feeling stressed. Since then I always carry a tin with me. They're particularly useful when I'm commuting and get stuck on a train or when traveling as being confined still gives me anxiety. The Black Currant flavor is my favorite and they're sugar-free too!

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment: This lip treatment is a longstanding favorite of mine. It has the loveliest lemon scent and the SPF15 is nice as well.

TonyMoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar: Just looking at this little bunny makes me smile. It's a really cute tinted lip balm.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Lovemarc Lip Gel in Role Play: This is my everyday lip color and it's my perfect lips but better shade. This was the lipstick I was wearing in my recent selfie.

RayBan Jackie Ohh Sunglasses: Sunglasses are a must on sunny days and even on some non-sunny ones.

See By Chloe Wallet: I like to keep it basic and compact with my wallet.

Envirosax Foldup Bag: I try to do the eco-conscious by carrying my own bag when I shop.

iPhone 6: This is a nice upgrade from the flip phone I was still using last year.

Tissues: Nothing special but a necessity.

Paul & Joe Blotting Papers: These blotting papers get the job done if my face gets shiny and there's a mirror inside the case.

Housekeys: Another necessity. My key tag is from Various Keytags and the camera charm was a gift from a friend.

Happy Monday Rowena! Oh Rescue, I do know their products since I was used to take them too! I never used the pastilles though, always the drops and they are very good, they work and make u feel relaxed. Btw, I do enjoy this kind of post, I might do mine too! The bunny balm is the cutest I ever saw, love the lipstick too (in that selfie, looks so perfect on you!) and I love the little wallet, I need a similar one too. Have a wonderful week my dear, hugs! xo

So neat and cute! Loved looking at your essentials!
I've lost my makeup bag a while ago and that P & J blotting paper case went with it. I am still sad about it. ;-/
And I recently started carrying a foldable shopping bag, too. I got one when I was in SF (they don't give out shopping bags for free, so apparently it is quite big over there). Mine is from Baggu and in hot pink. ;)

I've always been a huge fan of 'What's in my bag' posts! I'm just so nosey to know what others are using and discovering new products that others can't be without. Love your Chloe wallet, Rowena. I've wanted anything Chloe for a long time but holy crap, are they ever expensive. LOL!

Hope you had a great weekend!

I really enjoy this kind of posts, maybe I should made one myself one day. From beauty products, I usually wear a lipstick or a lipbalm with me. I really like the packaging of that bunny gloss...and that natural shade of lipstick looks great on you:)

I have to say that I have been always interested in other women's bags, haha. To be honest, there isn't a big difference between the content of yours and mine. I often forget my sunglasses at home and regret after that. I remember the post with the face spray, so I ain't surprised there is one in your bag. Honestly, the bag looks very small and I almost can't believe it's so roomy for all that stuff! Usually you will see me with a huge bag that is 1 ton thanks to my camera... I really love that you bring your own bag when shopping as this is eco-friendly! It was a nice peek inside your bag, Rowena! Thanks for letting me in! Have a wonderful day! xo

If you looked in my bag (which is really a floral backpack) you'd think I was homeless! I am ill, so I carry an extra set of just about everything in my bag, from an extra change of clothes to a toothbrush. I never know when hell is going to break loose illness wise so I have to be prepared!

I have been using the Rescue Remedy for so long. I had the gum first, and then the pastilles. They definitely work! When I get sick, I get anxious, so they come in handy!

I need a BUNCH of those Rescue Pastilles! HaHaHa First off, what a great purse Rowena! It's gorgeous and what a staple. I don't change up handbags a lot either. I love Marc Jacobs lip products. They're so moisturizing and love the pigmentation. I don't carry a lot in my bag either.

Hi Rowena,

I am quite amazed that your tote can really fit in all these? Super cool indeed. It must be pretty spacious, like you mentioned, it sure fooled me though by just looking at it like that! I love a bag like this, so practical *_^

Well, from your essentials, can tell that you are quite a practical and keep-it-simple no fuss kind of gal *_^ That bunny Gloss Bar is sooooooo cute! haha

Hhhmm, the Rescue Pastilles, perhaps I should share this with a friend of mine, whom I know have some similar experiences like you mentioned here. Perhaps it will help her as well like it works for you...

Thanks for letting us into a peek in your bag. I especially love that camera charm!!

Hope you are having a great week thus far, my dear friend.

Cheers,
Jeann

You totally should. They taste really pleasant but more importantly they actually work.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Thanks Cheryl! I still have to use a tote when I have to haul more but this bag works pretty well most of the time as it holds quite abit for a crossbody.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

I find it so interesting to see inside people's bags too. That bunny lip balm is the cutest. You should get one Nancy :)

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

It's a really good one!

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

I'm sorry to hear you suffered from vertigo spells as well. They can be really awful and debilitating. I'm just glad that they're no longer bothering either one of us. You might be able to find them as this brand is available worldwide. They're really wonderful!

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

It's always better to be prepared. When I was really unwell, I used to tote around many items just in case as well. It's really good to hear that Rescue products have worked for you too. I really want to try more of the line.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Thanks Diana! I do too :)

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Thanks Annick! Getting lots of light is really the key!

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

I hope you were able to settle on a cleanser Nicole. The Yes to line has a pretty good range of cleaners and I also like Acure. You can always email me if you need suggestions on something.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

They're all natural and made from flowers which makes them ideal. You can find them at Whole Foods, CVS and Walgreens to name a few stores. Be sure to grab the coupon from this post!

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Thanks Katherine! It's always fun to see what other people carry around.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

I think so too Jo! You make me feel better about my old phone now ;p I've heard great thinsg about the Fresh serum but I've never tried it. Sounds like it's working out pretty well for you so far. A foldup bag is really convenient whenever I'm out shopping.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

I've never tried the one from TonyMoly but the Koh Gen Do one is really hydrating and refreshing. I also like the ones from Avene and Evian.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Wow it's cool to find out that you use these too and they also work well for you. I was skeptical at first but I became a believer when they actually relieved my anxiety. I've also tried the lemon flavor but I find the black currant the most pleasant.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Thanks Diana!

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

I think we all could use a bunch of them at some point Kim haha. Glad to know I'm not the only one who's not a fan of changing bags often. I've been impressed with this Marc Jacobs lipstick. I'd like to try more from the line.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

It doesn't look that big but the interior has 3 compartments and is quite spacious. It helps me keep my stuff well organized too. yes you're right, I'm definitely on the practical side and I don't like to carry more than I need as I don't like carrying extra weight around. If your friend has anxiety, she may find the pastilles to be helpful. They've really helped me.

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

They're really wonderful!

Rowena @ rolala loves said...

Thanks Priscilla!

HAH, took a look at your previous post and laughed when I saw the tape measure part! (I occasionally carry one with me, mostly because they're actually quite handy! I'm buying all sorts of house decor ATM, so measurements are needed!) Those Tony Moly gloss bars are so cute I kinda want them all just to collect their faces.

Also, I actually never buy tissues to keep in my purse. I just hoard them from restaurants/fast food places LOOOOOOOOL ._. (to be fair, the cheap coarse ones are exceptionally good for blotting my face)

Unknown said...

That bunny lipgloss is adorable! And I love that fold up bag, I try to keep a bunch of tote bags in my car but I should probably get a mini one like this for my purse.
