Flashback Friday

Sometimes it's fun to take a look back at our childhood photos. My mom says I was around 5 when we visited the Niagara Falls. I really have no recollection of it though. I'm quite mortified that my dress looks short enough to be a top even though it's cute. She said it was the style back then and that I was wearing bloomers underneath. That said, it's probably okay if you're under the age of 10 but I would not be caught dead in anything that short now. Hubster lived in Sri Lanka for a period of a few years when he was young because of his father's business. He was such an active child and so cute. He still has the best legs haha.

Check out my last Flashback Friday! Do you ever look back at your old photos?

You two look so precious!! I remember outfits like the one your wearing, bloomers were big back then. I had some like this and I wouldn't wear anything so short now either, haha!! Happy weekend doll xx

As a mother of two girls, I'm very aware of girls clothes and I agree with your mom. I've noticed that is was quite the fashion to have girl's dresses very short with bloomers. From my observations I think it started in the 50s and didn't go away until the late 80s.

These pictures are darling. You look so serious and pretty. You're husband looks so sweet.

Oh, both of you are such adorable kids! It's strange looking back at our childhood pictures, isn't it? I remember looking at mine and feeling absolutely horrified at what I was wearing too. Actually I looked back at my teenage years and cringe even more. LOL!

You were such a cute child, Rowena! Love your dress-top, haha! When you are 10 years old, you can wear anything! How exciting you have been to Niagara falls. Too bad you don't remember, but the good thing is that you have a nice photo! Your hubby is super cute too! I haven't looked back at my old photos for a very long time. I need to do it soon! Have a nice weekend, Rowena!

Yes, I love to look back at the old photographs...it's a lot of fun! You two both looked adorable:) I think this style of dress was called baby-doll at least where I'm from (I'm not sure what an actual English term would be). It was very common for little girls to wear it. Anyhow, what a cute child you were in your baby-doll dress :) Niagara falls...have you visited them after it? Maybe you will remember if you visit them again:)

I love looking at old photographs and I have so many of my family it is great. I have a feature for this on my blog on Thursdays but I think it will be on the back burner for a while as I have been getting into the city more often and lots of news to share. It will be back however because it is always popular. These photos are just precious. ♥

You two were adorable! I may have had a similar dress when I was little, I remember pictures in it. I think mine was a more decent length though ;) You actually look really tall for five but I could be just imagining it from what is around you.
