Well before Asian beauty products were more easily accessible like they are these days, there was YesStyle. YesStyle.com was one of the first global online retailers to offer fashion, beauty and lifestyle products from Korea, Japan, Taiwan and more. I've shopped on and off from them for a number of years and I also unboxed a previous YesStyle Beauty Box here before.
Etude House Pink Vital Water Trial Kit (Sample)
This sample set includes a toner, serum and emulsion from the Etude House Pink Vital range that is made with peach water and vitamins A,E, and C. The products all have a somewhat strong peachy floral scent which I didn't really care for. I was able to get about 2 uses out of each sample pack so it wasn't really enough to make much of an impression or really pique my interest in the line.
Thank you Farmer Sun Project Sun Essence | Be Beautiful BB Cream | Be Beautiful CC Cream Trial Set (Sample)
This sample set includes a sunscreen, BB cream and CC cream. The sun essence does have a hint of shimmer which I didn't mind since it's subtle and gives off a slight brightening effect. It feels lightweight and not greasy and doubles nicely as a primer. The BB Cream offers up light coverage but I found it a tad drying. The CC cream which provides natural coverage with a soft radiant glow was my favorite out of these. Thank You Farmer is a brand I've been hearing about and want to get to know better.
Heimish All Clean Balm (Deluxe Sample)
This was the one product which was not new to me. It is a balm cleanser that can be used as the first step in a double cleanse to remove makeup. It has a solid balm texture that takes some effort to work down. It removes makeup pretty well but I feel like it takes forever to rinse off. And while it is a clean beauty product and affordable, it just feels really basic. I guess I just like a little more luxury to my cleansing balm. And another thing I'm not too fond of is the scent since it smells oddly chemical to me. The full size product (120 mL) retails for $17.16
COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser (Sample)
This is a popular and affordable low pH cleanser suitable for sensitive skin, made with tea tree oil and BHA. It works to remove dirt, leaving skin moist and refreshed without stripping it of its natural oils. This is a serviceable cleanser with a fairly strong tea tree scent. It lives up to it's claims but it's not outstanding enough to take the place of any of my current cleansers. The full size product (150 mL) retails for $10.36

RiRe Lip Manicure Rouge Highfix #9 (Full Size)
$7.90
This is billed as long-lasting liquid lipstick. Shade #9 is supposed to be a dark red but it totally pulls coral on my lips which is not ideal for someone who doesn't want to draw attention to their lips. I can make it work by using a neutral lip liner and blotting the color down to until it's almost sheer for a subtle yet vibrant just bitten lip look. This product is glossy when applied but dries down matte. It is highly pigmented and the formula is fairly long lasting without much transfer.
Berrisom Oops Dual Contouring Highlighter & Shading (Full Size)
$8.46
This product functions as a 2-in-1 highlighter and contour. Both products have a light creamy texture which blend out nicely and a little goes a long way. The highlighter comes out too white on my skin which is not good. The contour color is a muddy brownish beige which I also don't think works too well with my skintone. I could make it work if I use a light hand and blend like crazy which is just too much work for me.
MCC Accent Waterproof Eyeliner #1 Accent Black (Full Size)
$4.90
A creamy waterproof eyeliner pencil with Vitamin E. This liner glides on smoothly and is easy to apply. It's fairly pigmented and long lasting which makes it a serviceable if not stand out product. I do like the sharpener that's included which keeps the tip pointed for a precise application.
A'Pieu My Little Mascara High Curling (Full Size)
$4.90
This mascara has a curved wand that is supposed to lift and define lashes with a long-lasting polymer formula to add drama. Honestly this mascara was nothing special. I mean it did provide some length and volume but certainly nothing dramatic and for a curling mascara it doesn't really hold curl very well.
$8.90
This multi-purpose dual stick can be used as blush and eyeshadow. I don't know who would use coral or pink as eyeshadow but it wouldn't be me. Both shades a little polarizing in appearance for someone who dislikes anything too bright but they do blend down to softer tones which are quite wearable. The formulation is creamy and offers up pretty decent wear, maybe about a half day before fading. The stick packaging is convenient for travel or using on the go but these won't be taking the place of my beloved RMS Lip2Cheek anytime soon.
Overall, I think this is a pretty good box in terms of discovering new beauty. It contains an interesting mix of makeup and skincare that are a good representation of the innovations in Asian beauty which usually bridge the gap between beauty and entertainment. And even though it's being sold under the umbrella of Spring, these products can work for all seasons. I do feel like this box falls short in term of value because you're only getting 5 full size items and the cumulative cost of the box is not significantly less than purchasing all the items separately.
This YesStyle Beauty Box Sweet Spring Makeup Kit which regularly sells for $49.90 is still available and currently on sale for $34.93. YesStyle.com offers free international shipping on all orders of $35 and up and free samples with every order. The site also features weekly Flash Sales which are worth checking out because prices are slashed up to 70% off. I once got a super cute beanie which I still wear for just $3.00! #YesStyle

There are some nice products, but why do they sell a spring box right now? What am I missing?

Beautiful beauty products
I've been meaning to buy from YesStyle but have yet to do so. The contents of this kit is pretty rad ...haven't tried any of these yet. Thanks for the review, Rowena:) I've told you this before, but these reviews you do of Asian brands/sites are so bad for my wallet! :D

I had this box and it was quite ok :)
You already know my thoughts on this box, lovely selection of products, some are hits and some are misses but way too pricey imo.

Love.
Rowena, you introduced me to YesStyle. Sorry many of the products didn't work for you. That happens with these kind of boxes :( But thanks for letting us know your thoughts on each.

Loved your honest review on all the products! I do like the variety offered in this box, but yikes the original price is pretty pricey, especially since 2 of these products are just trial kits (which I always dislike seeing in beauty boxes...I get these for free in magazines!). Did not know about YesStyle's Flash Sale section, so thank you for introducing that! :D

I only discovered yesstyle very recently. I am not sure about getting a themed box but still use the site in the future. I think shipping was pretty good and loved that I could get both Kbeauty & JBeauty from one source. :)
Asian beauty products rock. I did not think they would do well on my skin and boy was I wrong. I would like to try that Pink Vital Water. :) Thanks for sharing Rowena
