Reading...  How to Be an Overnight Success: Making It in Business. Written by Rodial Beauty founder Maria Hatzistefanis, this book details her journey in creating the beauty brand and making it a global success. My friend Allie and I attended a launch event for the book which featured a fascinating talk with Maria hosted by Alexa Chung.

Watching...  Queer Eye. This reboot is a vast improvement on the original. While it still has the fun of a makeover show, the new Queer Eye isn't afraid to tackle bigger social issues. It doesn't pretend to solve them but at least they manage to open up a dialogue. And there hasn't been an episode that didn't have me on the verge of tears. It helps that they made a point of choosing subjects who are actually deserving (even the trump supporter). The humanity of this show is uplifting and I hope they'll get picked up for another season.

Listening...  to Lee Seung Gi's Forest. Yes this is an old album and I miss his singing. Return is such a beautiful song. Seung Gi please make some new music soon (maybe after Hwayugi)!

Cooking... with our new Breville Smart Oven Pro. Even though we have a full feature oven with our range, I usually prefer to use a countertop oven for meal prep because it's much quicker and easier. Our last one which was a Kitchenaid just wasn't as good and I'm happy to have a Breville again. The convection option cooks nearly twice as fast as our gas oven and it's a breeze to clean afterwards.

Eating...  garlic lemon tahini dressing. I often make roast vegetables and was asked what I usually put on them. The answer is nothing or this dressing. It's so simple and delicious! I always have a jar in my refrigerator. To make: mix 2 parts tahini, 2 parts lemon juice, 1 part avocado or olive oil, 3 parts water with 1 clove grated garlic. Add salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste.

Drinking...  Perrier Green Apple Flavored Sparkling Mineral Water. Amazon was out of my favorite coconut La Croix so I decided to try this instead and love it. The subtly crisp green apple flavor is so refreshing.

Diffusing..  Virtuvi essential oils. I've tried a lot of essential oils and Vitruvi's certified 100% organic oils are superior both in quality and potency. The Lavender, Bergamot and Grapefruit are particular favorites.

Getting to know ... OSKIA Skincare. I had such a marvelous personal introduction straight from the brand's founder Georgie Cleeve recently. The brand has launched stateside exclusively at Barneys and they have some very exciting products coming out this year. I'm currently immersed in trying out some of the most popular ones. I've already fallen in love with the award winning OSKIA Renaissance Mask which is literally like a glow in a jar! Full details to come.

Supplementing... my weekly detox baths with magnesium flakes. Magnesium contributes to energy levels, cardiovascular function, and cellular reproduction which support strong bones and teeth, radiant skin, balanced hormones, a healthy nervous system, and relaxed body and mind. The addition makes my baths all the more relaxing. I need to try to make my own magnesium oil with them.

Hi Rowena, hope you had a nice weekend!

I don't cook as much as you do but I also love using a convection oven. My full sized oven/range is electronic so this way I can save some money rather than firing up a big oven. Oh, and I've been using an air frier as well, which is perfect to cook whole purple sweet potatoes.

Have a great week! :)

That was a great event! I am currently reading her book too. And Queer Eye popped up on my Netflix account. I thought about watching it, now I will.

I'm now interested in the Queer Eye reboot. We have an air fryer which is basically like a convection oven and I love it as well! I'm putting your garlic lemon tahini dressing on my list to try now!

My husband was talking about Queer Eye, he loved the original show but we haven't had the chance to watch the new one. I have Oskia Renaissance mask in my list to purchase since forever but I am so paranoid paying that much for it and my skin not liking it.

How To Be an Overnight Success sounds like a fun book to read.

I haven't been listening to anything new in ages, I will look up that singer up.

Queer Eye sounds like an interesting show to follow. I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks, so I haven't been keeping up with TV shoes and films. I was thinking about seeing The Shape of Water but I heard that it is a waste of time, that there isn't anything you can't see in the trailer. I'm still undecided.

That garlic lemon tahini dressing sounds yummy. I should give it a try.
