KEY INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN
• Mandarin Orange Extract derived from the fruit, flowers and peel of the tree cultivated in Spain, acts as an antiinflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant. Contains citrus bioflavonoids (hesperidin, rutin, and naringin) which reduce the skin's inflammatory response by strengthening the walls of blood vessels and aid vitamin C to rebuild collagen, increasing the skin's overall natural healing abilities.
• Vitamin C is a powerful anti-oxidant needed for the growth and repair of tissue. Helps to form collagen in connective tissue, heal wounds, support a healthy immune system and protect against UVA/UVB damage.
• Algae Extract consists of many polysaccharide sugars such as alginates, which are responsible for moisture retention and fucoidanes, which encourage circulation, playing a key role in the elasticity of the skin.
• Hyaluronic Acid which naturally occurs in the extracellular matrix (ECM) of the skin regulates cell behavior during the healing process and reduces inflammation. Hyaluronic acid acts as a humectant to maintain and attract water, minimizing trans-epidermal water loss.
• Ginkgo Biloba Extract derived from the tree native to China and Japan contains flavonoid glycosides and terpenoids which help to increase healthy blood flow, improving circulation and protecting against oxidative cell damage from free radicals.
• Ginger Root Extract derived from the underground stem (rhizome) of the plant found in Asia and India, its main active compound, gingerol, gives the plant its flavor and its anti-inflammatory properties.
• Allantoin derived from the root of the comfrey plant, native to Europe and temperate areas of Asia. Allantoin acts as a keratolytic agent, which is used to soften the epidermis. It stimulates the growth of healthy tissue to improve skin's moisture binding capacity, aids in healing and improves skin irritations.

THE PACKAGING
June Jacobs Mandarin Moisture Masque is packaged in a translucent glass jar with a twist off metal lid. A small spatula is included for hygienic dispensing.

HOW TO USE
After cleansing, apply a generous amount to the face, neck and décolleté with the fingertips or a soft masque brush. After five to ten minutes, remove all traces of masque with water and pat dry.

MY EXPERIENCE
This masque has a light citrus scent which is revealed as soon as the jar is opened. I'm not usually a fan of fragrance in products but this smells fresh and natural so I don't mind it at all. The product itself has a watery gel-like consistency that spreads smoothly and easily and feels cool to the touch initially. It rinses off effortlessly, leaving my skin feeling noticeably softer, hydrated and soothed.  I use this mask one to two times a week and it's always a refreshing and relaxed experience. I have not experienced any sensitivity or irritation.

The June Jacobs Mandarin Moisture Masque can be purchased directly from June Jacobs and through DermStore and SkinStore.

Sounds like a wonderful mask, both from ingredients and from texture and effetcs. And as you describe it as slightly cooling it would be perfect for the upcoming summer.

It sounds like a lovely mask! I am trying to use the face masks and jars of masks I have more often, it's so hard to get into a routine with it!

Hope you are having a lovely week so far. We have some cooler weather at last so it's starting to feel a little more like autumn :)
