JoahBox K-Beauty Subscription Service

JoahBox is a monthly Korean Beauty subscription service. The word Joah (좋아) which means "to like" in Korean provides a selection of 5 to 7 full sized K-beauty products. Each box includes a mix of makeup and skincare with a value of $60 to $100. The box is $35.95 per month which includes free global shipping from Seoul, South Korea. JoahBox kindly sent me their June Box for review.

The June JoahBox which has a theme of "Me, My Skin & I" contains 5 items. Also included is an information booklet with details on each item and how to use them. This is helpful since sometimes the instructions on the packaging for the products is only in Korean.  A collectible playing card also comes with each box.

Farm Stay Aloe Vera Moisturizing Soothing Gel, 3.38 oz.

Free from mineral oil, artificial coloring, benzophenone and parabens, this cooling aloe vera gel is a multi-function product that can be used on the face, body or hair as a mask, moisturizer or salve. I like the pouch packaging which saves space and is easy to use. I popped this into my refrigerator and plan to use it as an after sun soother.

The star ingredients of this anti-aging ampoule from Plant Base is 76.52% of mushroom extract and syn-coll peptide which work to promote collagen synthesis, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while strengthening skin elasticity. It is cruelty-free and cleanly formulated. This brand and product is new to me and I'm all for anything that helps to increase collagen synthesis.

Missha Volume Boost Mascara Cara Line Friends Edition

Missha Volume Boost Mascara boosts the volume of your lashes with a long lasting, non clumping formulation that is easy to wash off. This special Line Friends edition features Cony the bunny and comes with a sheet of stickers you can use to decorate the mascara. There are two versions available  and I received the one for volume. the other one is length. I'm happy about this since my lash serum has already done a good job of lengthening my lashes. ICYDK, Line is a popular messaging app in Asia and Line Friends are the featured characters in the stickers of the application.

RiRe Air-Fit Velvet Lipstick

The JoahBox team decided to include the RiRe Air-Fit Velvet Lipstick after trying out the brand's entire range of lipsticks. It was chosen for it's light as air, creamy velvet matte finish which is moisturizing with major staying power.  There were three variations available and I received shade L03. I 'm not fan of red lipstick so I'm going to be giving this away.

Ultru Galactomyces Drylock Mask

Ultru Galactomyces Drylock Mask is formulated with 69% galatomyces. This is a big deal because galactomyces ferment filtrate is a nutrient dense yeast and byproduct of fermented sake which is also known as Pitera, the star ingredient in those expensive SK-II products. In combination with  niacinamide, glycerin, betaine, saccharomyces, bifida ferment lysate, ceramides, adenosine and cholesterol, this mask works to improve nourish, revitalize and improve overall skin condition.  I love sheet masks and galatomyces works well for my skin so I'm psyched about this mask.

The total value based upon the prices provide on the information sheet puts the contents at the box at $68.50 which is a good value since it exceeds the subscription rate cost. It's kind of fun that some products feature variations on what you receive. I haven't had a chance to try out any of the products but I'm excited about the Collagen Ampoule, the Galactomyce Mask  and the Missha Mascara. JoahBox seems like a fun way to discover new K-beauty products.
