A Week Of Outfits From Monday To Sunday

Getting dressed shouldn’t be a drudge. And style and comfort should get to enjoy each other’s company. So let's take a closer examination at combining these two factors into a week's worth of  outfits, which can make getting dressed each day less of a task and more of an indulgence. This is what a week of effortless, pulled-together outfit ideas can look like.

Monday: Soft Opening
On Mondays, there needs to be simplicity. A pair of go-to wide-leg trousers can be styled with a loose, slightly oversized knit in pale oatmeal. The trousers provide a put-together structure, but the gentle fabric gives it a relaxed and cozy feel reminiscent of the day before when I was snuggled in a blanket on the couch. A low pony and subtle gold hoops complete the look with a touch of polish.

Tuesday: Coffee Run Chill
Mid-week energy could use a boost. A pair of high-waisted black leggings, an oversized white button-down shirt, and my favorite denim jacket fits the bill. Simple sneakers held the whole outfit together without overdoing it. Between my second coffee and checking off emails, I noticed just how easy it was to remain put together. I even smiled super wide at the barista—thank my aligners, a part of my teeth straightening at home process, and you could hardly tell they were there.

Wednesday: Zoom Call Ready
Working from home isn’t about giving up on style. I pulled on a matching cashmere ensemble—joggers below and sweater above—and added a sharp, cropped jacket over it for video calls. Professional on camera, casual off camera. A pop of colored lip balm didn’t hurt, either. It’s the little things that make the day go in the correct direction.

Thursday: Dinner With Friends
Having plans for dinner always brings about a little more effort. I picked my satin skirt in a bias cut and tucked in my simple grey t-shirt. Comfortable, absolutely, but the contrast of the fabrics seemed carefully stylish. Over my shoulder and sporting block-heeled ankle boots, a leather moto jacket dressed it down for dinner without losing its comfortable appeal the instant I sat down.

Friday: Simple Layers
Fridays just exist differently, don’t they? I yanked on my lived-in blue jeans (the ones that hug your body) and, over them, layered a soft turtleneck under a corduroy jacket. The added layers created depth, but nothing pinched or restricted. A canvas tote bag and straightforward loafers made it official: weekend mode was approaching.

Saturday Morning Market
Saturdays belong to the farmers market, long walks, and no plans after. Straight-leg jeans, a casual long-sleeve shirt, and a trench coat were my choice because the weather wasn’t quite ready to commit to whether it was going to be springtime yet or not. A light scarf and cozy boots allowed me to roam without ever regretting what I was wearing. Comfort reigned supreme, but so did feeling like myself.

Sunday Homebody Luxe
Sunday morning is the time for soft knits and zero judgment. I whiled away the morning wearing a matching ribbed set (soft blush pink—because matching sets give the illusion that you have your life together). A thick and cozy cardigan was also ready to snuggle with a book later. Despite not planning to venture out of my house, I got dressed for the day I wished to wear: slow, warm, and totally at peace.
