Sun protection is of great importance to me all year round but I try to be even more vigilant during the summer months. I have a few go-to sunscreens and I also like to try out new ones on a fairly regular basis since the technology and formulations keep improving. There are a number of debates out there about whether physical or chemical sunblocks are better. I happen to believe there are advantages to each and vacillate between the two. And I frequently use Asian sunscreens which often combine both physical and chemical sunscreen ingredients. The Korres Suncare Yoghurt Nourishing Fluid Veil Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30, I'm reviewing today happens to contain chemical type sunscreen ingredients. Read this to learn more about physical versus chemical sunscreens and also get some essential sun safety facts.
Product Claims: A fast absorbing, ultra sheer yet nourishing natural sunscreen that provides broad spectrum UV protection while moisturizing skin. Wears beautifully under makeup and reduces irritation for redness prone skin. For centuries, Greek grandmothers applied yogurt to soothe and heal sun damaged skin. This product contains no nano-sized particles.
Key Ingredients: Sunscreen: Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 15%, Octinoxate 6.5%, Octisalate 5%, Octocrylene 10%. Yoghurt is rich skin repairing proteins that help keep skin nourished and protected from the sun’s harmful rays. Rice and camapu extract provide deep hydration and calming properties to soothe skin during sun exposure. Provitamin B5 helps reduce inflammation and supports natural cell regeneration while jojoba oil seals in moisture, leaving skin soft and smooth. Free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
Packaging: A cleanly designed lightweight plastic bottle with a tightly secured cap and a nozzle dispenser which effectively controls the amount of product that comes out. The bottle is nice looking and sized for portability if you want to take it on the go.
Price: $35 for 1.69 fl. oz. / 50 mL
How to Use: Shake well. Apply liberally and evenly onto face 15 minutes before sun exposure. Can be worn alone, over skin care product, and under makeup.
My Impressions: The Korres Suncare Yoghurt Nourishing Fluid Veil has a thin, watery consistency with a pleasant coconuty yogurt scent that disappears pretty much right after it dries. There is a slight cooling sensation when applied and it sinks into the skin with a non-drying semi-matte finish. This product feels lightweight and almost imperceptible when layered under my cushion compact. I also tried it over my makeup with similar results and it reapplies smoothly as well. I've used this sunscreen on my face and neck for a little over a week and haven't experienced any irritation or reactions and it removes easily with my double cleansing process. I really like how this sunscreen offers broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection along with skin conditioning and moisturizing benefits without feeling sticky or greasy. Since this is a chemical type sunscreen, there are no worries that it will leave a white cast and it does live up to it's claims that it layers well with makeup. I would forget that I was even wearing it and that is one of the marks of a good sunscreen in my book. Other than the bottle being on the small side, there's nothing I don't like about this product.
Korres Suncare Yoghurt Nourishing Fluid Veil Face Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is available for sale through Sephora and Amazon as well as the Korres website.

I like the sound of this! But they really had me already at yoghurt... :-)
Living in Australia sun care is essential. And I've become more and more obsessive as I age too. I didn't realise there were physical and chemical elements involving sunscreen. I need to read up about this.

SPF a must for me and sunnies love yours they are so chic.
I havent one in particular but as u I do like to change and try new ones to find new faves. This one inspires me a lot, the packaging is very cute too. I tend to prefer physical ones too. Kisses Rowena! xo
I am liking the sound of this sunscreen a lot! I like the fact that it's lightweight and great under makeup. Physical sunscreens always break me out unfortunately, and for my skin tone, the white cast is always a problem so I go for chemical sunscreens. Thanks for this review, Rowena:)
Most people don't understand the importance of having sun protection, it's not just for the summertime. I typically use both, chemical and physical sunscreens. This seems interesting, especially intrigued by how well it wears under makeup and goes over smoothly as well. I like the Korres brand, so perhaps I will try this!
This suncreen sounds very interesting. I like most coconut scents and I would like to give this a try! Love the sunglasses! Very stylish!

I have been using Coppertone and Garnier sunscreens, haven't tried any high end ones though but this sounds really good and the price is surprisingly reasonable too. Great review, Rowena!

This is another product that has been on my beauty list! So good to hear it works well and is lightweight. I'm currently using Aveeno. Coola just sent me a face product to try.

This sunscreen sounds really nice!
You are right the packaging is great and I am sure I would love the scent. I always get confused with the chemical vs the physical. This is a little pricey but sounds like it feels and smells divine.

Loved when I saw this photo on IG. And the price isn't too bad either.

It sounds like a great sunscreen! Being in Australia we have to worry about the sun year-round so SPF is really important. My current BB cream has SPF in it and I use cancer council sunscreen on the rest of my body. It's a bit sticky but does the job!

Some time ago I read somewhere that sunscreen products are effective when they offer spectrum UVA/UVB so this one wins me here. As far as I know almost all sunscreen products for face are on the small side when it comes to their packageing. I don't really know the difference between physical and chemical sunscreen, so I first need ot check that post which I've missed by chance.
I usually use mixed ones, to get the best of both worlds. As long as it is lightweight and absorbs easily, I don't mind the rest.

I kind of remember reading something about physical and chemical sunscreen and the difference between the two, but I need to read a bit more about it.
I really like the sound of this sunscreen. It is great that it is light and that it layers well under make up. Forgetting you're having it on your face is a big plus.... because creams that protect against the sun can feel quite oily on the skin- I was never quite sure why but often they feel that way.
It is wonderful that it offers a wide protection against different harmful effects of the sun. Great review. Sounds like a winning product indeed.

This sunscreen sounds great, it shows that you have a nice texture and melts quickly with skin, nice review Rowena!

the name of the product sounds delicious, yogurt and all, but I guess the ingredients are even more appealing, like free from paraben and all, Rowena. I do like a sunscreen that is more watery and glides on the skin easily compared to the more thicker versions.
I love the simple packaging. I have to agree with Shireen that the price is quite reasonable. So it's not PA++, huh?
Nice review, my friend.

This sunscreen looks nice but the price seems steep for the tiny package. Maybe I'm just cheap though because I hate using sunscreen? :)
