Asian Beauty Products at Sephora

Asian Beauty, Korean Skincare, KBeauty, Where to Buy Asian Beauty, Where to Buy KBeauty

If you've been paying attention to the beauty industry at all in recent years, you would know that Asian beauty has a firm foothold thanks to game changing and innovative, high performance products that utilize next level ingredients and provide multi-tasking benefits. As someone who follows a mostly AB skincare routine, I'm definitely a believer. And K-beauty is slowly and surely becoming more accessible in the Western hemisphere thanks to it's popularity. Sephora has always carried a good number of Asian beauty brands like SK-II, Shiseido, AmorePacific, Dr. Jart+, Tatcha, Koh Gen Do and Erborian but lately I've been seeing more and more products and brands trickle in and this is quite exciting since it includes some which I already use and happen to really like. This selection includes my commentary on the ones I've tried.

1. Son & Park Beauty Water
This cult favorite, created by top makeup artists Son Dae Shik & Park Tae Yun is a multi-tasking product formulated with nourishing ingredients like coconut, willow bark, papaya extract, lavender water and rose flower water. This Beauty Water gently exfoliates, cleanses, tones or hydrates depending on how you use it. I actually have this and I personally like it as a toner as it is refreshing and rebalances the pH level of my skin post cleansing.

2. Blithe Pressed Serum
A pressed serum" combines a moisturizer and serum into one product. This is formulated with 60% tundra chaga mushroom extract and a fermented blend of olive oil and argan tree kernel oil to offers lasting hydration and nourishment without heaviness or irritation.

3. Neogen Dermalogy Day-Light Protection Sun Screen SPF 50 PA+++
A lightweight, fluid-like sunscreen that provides major protection with broad-spectrum SPF 50 PA +++. A quick-absorbing formula leaves no white cast or greasy feeling while delivering light nourishing hydration from honey, rose, and raspberry extracts. I've tried a a sample of this sunscreen and it totally lives up to it's claims. I will be buying this as soon as I'm finished with my current sunblock.

4. Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask
This ultra-soft microfiber sheet mask employs a mix of egg extracts, coconut water, niacinamide, and other botanical extracts to deliver intense hydration, nourishment, and brightening benefits. This is one of the first Korean sheet masks I tried and it's still a favorite to this day because it is a clean beauty product that does what it says and always leaves my face feeling moisturized and glowing. It also now comes in Pore Tightening and Firming versions.

5. Blithe Splash Masks
Splash Masks are an innovative facial treatment that condenses the benefits of a 20 minute sheet mask into a 30 second action. This product comes in Rejuvenating Purple Berry, Soothing & Healing Green Tea and Energy Yellow Citrus and Honey. I own the first two and recently reviewed them here. The Yellow Citrus and Honey one which addresses dullness and uneven texture is next on my hit list.

6. Primary Raw DoYou 2-Step Milk Peeling Kit
Inspired by the Korean dermatology milk peeling treatment which uses a gentle, lactic acid based exfoliating method to hydrate and re-texturize the skin for instant radiance, this two-step at home peeling kit features an exfoliating swab saturated in a natural lactic and glycolic acid complex and a soothing sheet mask infused with soy milk, green tea and chamomile extracts. I've tried this method with a product from a different brand and it was so gentle yet rejuvenating. The ingredients used in this one sound lovely.

7. Neogen Dermalogy Green Tea Real Fresh Foam Cleanser
This unique foaming cleanser contains real fermented green tea leaves and aloe in a natural extract formula that continuously delivers fresh benefits throughout the duration of use. The cleanser leaves skin moisturized, vitalized, soothed and refreshed while effectively exfoliating and cleansing skin of impurities. Sounds good to me.

8. Caolion Premium Blackhead Steam Pore Pack
A unique purifying active charcoal steaming mask that exfoliates, hydrates, and deep cleanses impurities to leave skin brighter, smoother and moisturized. This natural product is made with 100% natural sparkling water, pure botanicals, herbs, and natural ingredients to penetrate and cleanse from deep within. Considering I have a 100g tub of this product in my bathroom cabinet, I'm a big fan. I originally got this for my husband but have found it works just as well for me. I use this treatment whenever my pores are in need of a good purge. It gives instant results without irritation and is half the cost of the GlamGlow Super Mud Clearing Treatment.

9. J.One Jelly Pack
A multitasking, anti-aging product that works as a hydrating morning mask and makeup-primer. Created by Korean actress Ha Jiwon to help condense her morning skin care routine, the unique, jelly-like texture liquefies onto skin with gentle patting that creates an ultra smooth canvas for flawless makeup application. Fullerene works to address free radicals and brighten the appearance of skin, while fragmented hyaluronic acid hydrates for a plumper appearance. I've been intrigued by this product ever since seeing it on Get It Beauty and it's sitting in my Sephora shopping cart for my next order.

10. It's Skin Cookie and Body Ice Cream
A luxurious body cream rich in nutrients to nourish, refresh, and brighten the skin body. Featuring delicious scents and fun cookies and cream packaging to carry wherever you go, this body cream contains soft "cookie chip" pieces that melt when massaged in to leave skin soft and smooth but never greasy. Like so many other Korean brands, It's Skin combines natural ingredients, advanced science and fun packaging with their products. I've used the hand cream which features a similar concept. It's cookies and cream - what's not to like? They also make a Macaron Lip Balm that looks absolutely darling!

11. May Coop Raw Sauce
A hydrating, nourishing essence with a unique maple-tree sap base that boosts the effectiveness and absorption of ingredients into the skin. With an innovative formulation of nourishing botanical complexes, along with antioxidant ingredients that neutralize free radicals and support natural skin cell regeneration while intensely hydrating and promoting a radiant complexion. I purchased a travel size of this product to see what it was about and I could see a visible difference in the efficacy of my other products when using this. I would've re-purchased it right away had I not bought other essences to try. I want to go back to this one when it gets cold.

Have you tried any of these products? Which one are you most interested in?

Im a huge fan of Asian beauty products, I do believe they are the best on market when it comes to skincare. Luckily, Sephora brought some stuff lately even in my city so is easier and quicker to get it. These products all inspires me a lot, the Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask would be the first I will pick!:) Kisses Rowena! xo

As soon as I found out that Son & Park was available in Sephora, I tried to buy it, but alas, I was informed that it's not available in Canada. Boooo:( I really love the Beauty Water! And thanks for the heads up about the Raw Sauce, Rowena. I've been wanting to try it, and good to know it works. That one, I can get here:D

PS I've been really digging the Let's Fight Ghost....hehe....I'm such a sucker for anything with supernatural elements. And so funny all that hoopla about new episodes of W not being shown right away because of the Olympics! I mean....waiting for another week is not that bad! Why are the fans being so crazy about it?!?!? You know, LJS actually looks better as his manga version than in IRL....just saying....:P
I just realized I got spoiled with all the good shows you told me about. I should just really watch the stuff you recommend!

Rowena, I've been noticing more and more asian skincare products on Sephora's site also. It's been thrilling to see! That It's Skin Cookie & Body Cream has been on my beauty radar! HaHaHa The packaging looks so good. I definitely want to try! But I'm saving this post, because that charcoal mask sounds great. I have really stayed away from charcoal anything because I had such a bad experience, but this sounds like it would work great for me. Will have to try! Great post and continue trying and letting us know. Because some people don't know how great Asian skincare really is. This is very informative.

I know Asian beauty products are one of the best, since Asian people are mad about flawless skin. I have a friend of mine who is a big fan of Asian culture, and she recently told me she was going to purchase products from an Asian website, and I thought I could give a try to something too. Also, my sister brought a foot treatment by an unknown for me Korean brand "Spalife" and I can't wait to try it. The body lotion with cookie scent sounds tempting, and since we also have Sephora here, I may try to find it.
