Pamella Roland Resort 2018

The Pamella Roland Resort 2018 collection made it's splendid debut against the opulent backdrop of the Bvlgari Fifth Avenue flagship which was transformed into a lush botanical wonderland with servers circling the room with glasses of Veuve Cliquot and hors d'oeuvres in hand. The exclusive presentation included 30 looks from the collection, each of which was accompanied by a touch of sparkle courtesy of Bvlgari and the fashions shined as much as the jewelry in the surrounding display cases.

In a slight departure from her usual artistic influences, designer Pamella DeVos was inspired by the garden of her Bay Harbor, Michigan lakeside residence for this collection. The brand's sumptuous gowns took on a floral toned palette that included geranium red, pale yellow, blush pink and violet along with flowery watercolor prints. Particularly striking were the dresses adorned with 3D floral appliqués that looked like they were fresh from the garden. Other embellishments included trailing floral embroideries, dainty crystals, sequined fringe and the brand's signature beadwork. Also in the collection were a range of striking black and white creations in streamlined silhouettes featuring sleek ruffle details, cut-outs and thigh high slits. This collection is a luxurious marriage of glamour, femininity and elegance. Pamella Roland is favorite amongst celebrities and I have a feeling we'll be seeing some of these designs gracing various red carpets in the future.
