Current Mood

Listening...  to Ladies and Gentlemen: The Best Of George Michael.  I've been a fan from way back and after watching a documentary about the late great singer, it made me obsessed with his music again. It's still heartbreaking that such an astonishing talent is gone. I miss the days when musicians were true artists who cared more about their art rather than saying/doing ridiculous things to get attention. I can't stop playing  A Different Corner. Such a beautiful song.

Watching... Busted! on Netflix. The streaming platform’s first-ever Korean original variety program features an all star cast who act as detectives to solve mysteries each week leading up to a big reveal at the end of it's 10 episode run. It's pretty fun so far and I'm there for Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Kwang Soo, my favorites from Running Man. Those two are always good entertainment. Here is the trailer.

Looking forward... to the RBG movie. Ruth Bader Ginsberg is a hero and an icon with an incredible legacy. She has also made a real impact on the construct of this country.  It's people like her that should be role models not vapid reality tv stars.

Cooking... with an Air Fryer. I picked one up on sale for less than $50 after my friend Lena had mentioned that she really enjoyed hers. It's great for roasting the Okinawan sweet potatoes I'm obsessed with. I've also been using it to make pot sticker dumplings and kale chips.

Eating... microgreens which are tiny greens grown from the seeds of vegetables and herbs. I like them as a topping on my avocado toast, in smoothies and on sandwiches. They pack a nice punch of flavor along with a high concentration of nutrients and antioxidants. I need to figure out how to grow my own.

Drinking... bulletproof matcha tea lattes.  I love my green tea lattes which I make with Chalait Everyday Grade Ceremonial Matcha and I recently decided to give them a boost with MCT oil. Adding a healthy fat fuels your brain and hormones while also slowing the absorption of caffeine in your body.

Wearing...  my new Hoka One One Speed Instinct sneakers. My podiatrist recommended this brand for my janky ankle awhile back and I finally relented and bought a pair. They're not the prettiest but the comfort and support is amazing.

Switching... from a regular Clarisonic Mia to a Mia Fit.  I spotted one on sale during the Sephora Spring Bonus Event and went for it since my old brush had been acting buggy after many years of use. This shape is more ergonomic and it can share a charger with my husband's Alpha Fit which is a win win.

Admiring... all the flowers and photographing them too. Poppies have been a recent favorite and peonies which I absolutely adore are back in season again.

Enjoying... the NY Yankees recent streak in which they've won 16 of their last 18 games and beat some pretty good teams who are leading their divisions. This was after getting off to a rather lackluster start. Our rookies in particular have been impressive and clutch. Let's go Yankees!

I also love GM's music. So sad when artists like him and Prince and David Bowie are now all gone:(

I used to listen George Michael all the time when I was a teenager. He had such a unique voice! Plus, his songs are amazing, a lot of them are true classics. I need to listen to him again, I'm getting nostalgic thinking about his music.

Those micro greens sounds yummy. It would be awesome if you figured out a way to grow your own.

I love poppies and just adore their bright red! I picked a few poppies while I was hiking but they dried up before I ever got home. It's all good, though because I collect dry flowers.

I actually think these Honka One One Speed sneakers are very pretty. I like the pink and black colour combo....and I'm not that into sneakers, I only wear them occasionally but I like this pair.

Rowena, I was so devastated when he died. He was an amazing singer & talent. I wish I could've seen him in concert at least once. I saw his documentary. I didn't know about his greatest hits, but I'm not surprised. Will have to get it. I love your sneakers and definitely want to get an air fryer.

I agree with you about reality shows! First of all, some of their “reality” situations aren’t dealing with regular people's lives! I am sick of hearing of the Kardashians!! They aren’t actors and they are not good role models for our children!! I liked George Michael’s songs. Now that’s music that I can relate to.

We used to have an Air Fryer and I absolutely loved it! I use it for making fries, pot stickers and it's so refreshing to have 'fried' food without the oil. Mine broke last year and I really need to buy another.

Very much in agreement with you dear, the singers of yesteryear were something else, before the talent prevailed today they seem so prefabricated, I also liked Goerge Michael and it is very sad that his end has been that way, I have not seen that series on Netflix but I take note of your recommendation, those leaves with which you accompany your toast I think it also grows where I live here we call them purslane and eat it in salad.
