Diving Into Eco Luxe Beauty With Rahua

I'm in a good place with my hair right now but that hasn't always been the case. I didn't used to understand that when you have really thick hair you should stay away from blunt hair cuts and there was a time when I wasn't doing my scalp any favors by washing my hair all too often. Over the years I've learned how to embrace the wavy texture of my hair and even work with it and using the right products to target specific issues. My hair generally behaves but sometimes frizz can be an issue and when your hairstyle is a bob with bangs, you want your hair to be sleek not frizzy.  Rahua recently sent me a few products that are designed to keep hair healthy, moisturized and frizz-free.

The Rahua brand was founded on a platform of environmental preservation in 2008 by husband and wife team Fabian Lliguin and Anna Ayers.  Pronounced "ra-wa",  this leading eco-luxury, clean hair and body care brand draws its name from rahua oil, a restorative natural oil derived from the Ungurahua nut native to the Amazon Rainforest. I like use this mask with my Vitabrid C12 Scalp Shampoo as a weekly treatment to maintain my hair and scalp health. It  has the consistency of a creamy conditioner and works through my hair with ease. My biggest gripe with most deep conditioning treatments is how hard they are to rinse out  and that is not an issue with the Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask which rinses out cleanly and effortlessly. Best of all is how soft, shiny, manageable it leaves my hair.  I also like the lightweight plastic bottle and pump dispenser. This hair mask is a dream to use and I'm convinced it has improved the overall condition of my hair.

Rahua Leave-In Treatment

Packaged in a luxe glass jar with a gold cap, Rahua Leave-In Treatment is a thick ivory colored cream with a light scent that is both earthy and soothing. A little goes a long way and a tiny dab is enough for my hair. To use, I work the product through when my hair is damp paying special attention to the ends before drying. This product provides shine, volume and silky smoothness to my hair without weighing it down or feeling greasy. And it's amazing for banishing frizz and flyaways. Definitely a great addition for good hair days.

Rahua Palo Santo Oil Perfume

Yes this product appeared in my last Currently Coveting post and Rahua kindly sent it to me to try. I was interested in it because it is a mood boosting wellness perfume and it does not disappoint. Lightly sweet and woodsy, the scent is house is a sleek and elegant rollerball glass application which makes it perfect for tucking into your purse for on the go. Since it is a pure plant based perfume, it  wears more subtly than synthetic fragrances, so it can be reapplied as needed. I like to apply it onto to my pulse points and just take a deep breath in for a sensory and therapeutic experience. The scent is fresh, sophisticated and uplifting but also soothing at the same time. I love that this fragrance is really different from anything else I own and I actually do feel better when I wearing it. I've gotten a number of compliments on it as well even a few from strangers on the train.

I honestly couldn't be more impressed with these Rahua products and the wellness meets beauty approach of the brand itself. The products which are made with high quality pure, clean and natural ingredients provide a luxurious experience and work as they claim. And what's not to like about the company's admirable sustainable, ethical and eco friendly business practices. As someone who is trying to be more mindful with my purchases, this is a brand I can feel good about supporting and one I'm looking forward to getting to know better.
