Holiday Gift Guide : For Her

Holiday Gift Guide, Gifts For Her, Gift Ideas, Holiday Gifting, Gift For Ladies

This gift guide is for the ladies. I tend to believe that  best gifts are both meaningful and useful. Some people sometimes get too caught up in the element of surprise that they lose sight of the preferences of their recipients.  It's not necessarily a negative to ask your partner want they want as it can eliminate stress for the giver and disappointment for the receiver. As with all my gift guides this season, the picks reflect the new work from home environment and the pandemic we're still in the midst of. It also includes a selection of products from Black owned brands because supporting them is still vitally important to me and should be for all of us.

1. Supergoop! Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40

Sun protection is non-negotiable and should be worn all year round even indoors. With all the time spent in front of screens, protection against HEV, blue light and infrared light should be a consideration as well. This lightweight, hydrating primer offers SPF 40 and blue-light protection while imparting skin with pearlescent finish for a luminous glow.

2. Vitabrid C12 Dual Drop Serum

Vitamin C is one of the best and most effective skincare ingredients. This serum uses proprietary technology known as Vitabrid CG, a breakthrough complex that stores and preserves Vitamin C within skin-friendly mineral layers, releasing the highly activated Vitamin C continuously to the deepest layers of skin over 12 hours upon application so that it works with the body’s natural abilities to heal itself from the inside out. It's a favorite of mine because it really works and has visibly brightened my skin.

3. Pat McGrath Labs Luxe Lip Balm

Packaged in a luxe, artful container, this lush formulation is infused with a soothing blend of emollients, antioxidants, and vitamins for soothing nourishment and moisturization.

4. 54 Thrones Egyptian Lavender + Moroccan Mint Beauty Butter

This nourishing face-and-body butter is handcrafted with natural ingredients ethically sourced from cooperatives and artisans across Africa and founder Christina Funke Tegbe named the brand as a nod to Africa’s 54 countries. I discovered this product a few months ago and it has become my go to salve for dryness and other skin issues. It is super hydrating and the lavender and mint scent is gorgeous.

5. Inna Organic BEST OF INNA Sheet Mask Set

A pioneer in clean beauty, Inna Organic is the first and only brand from Taiwan to be both EWG-verified and COSMOS certified-organic. Infused with potent botanical extracts like Frankincense, Myrrh, Neroli, Rose Geranium and Rose Otto, each mask is designed to target a specific skincare need from fine lines and visible signs of aging to dry skin, dullness and irritation. The sets includes solutions for Brightening, Soothing, Revitalizing and Deeply Moisturizing. These masks have a nice amount of essence, enough to soak into the skin without dripping and they fit well with good coverage and adhesion. I would totally recommend these for anyone whose skin is in need of some pampering.

6. Tory Burch Printed Face Mask Set with Pouch

We all need to wear face coverings if we're going to get through this pandemic. We can make the best of it with fashionable options. These Tory Burch face masks are made from two layers of lightweight, moisture-wicking fabric. Each mask has a contoured wire at the nose and adjustable ear loops to ensure a comfortable fit. They also have an interior filter pocket (filter not included). With each sale, $5 will be donated to International Medical Corps working to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the US and around the world, and $5 will be donated to the Tory Burch Foundation, working to advance women’s empowerment and women entrepreneurs; with a maximum donation of $500,000 to each organization.

At-home manicures are having a moment this year and hands need some extra pampering with the increase in hand washing. This pretty nail kit comes with a set of three hydrating and nourishing hand masks and a manicure kit that includes clippers and a glass file.

A blend of arnica and calendula flowers along with Epsom and Himalayan pink salts are infused with broad spectrum CBD to soothe and restore body and mind. I didn't actually make many beauty purchases this year but this was one the few things I treated myself to with my husband's encouragement. It is such a lovely addition to my baths, relieving soreness while creating such a sense of relaxation.

11. Eberjey Gisele PJ Set

This two-piece jersey pajama set with contrast trim is a marriage in style and comfort. They are well made and wash well. The modal fabric feels lovely and cool against the skin. You'd almost be tempted to wear them all day long but for hygiene purposes, pajamas are best left for bedtime.

Weighing in at 10 lbs., the sleek power ring can be incorporated into a variety of workouts at home or at the gym. Press, hold, swing and squat to increase strength, agility, endurance and balance. I'm considering this for myself as I want to incorporate more strength training into my workouts.

  3. That snow globe is so lovely. I also think PJs always make for a nice gift option. I also like those running sneakers and the fact they donate ten percent for encouraging women into politics. It's always nice when a brand gets involved into something chartable or has a goal behind it. You always have fantastic gift guides, both for him and her.
