Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream Review

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream Review, Augustinus Bader, Augustinus Bader Review

I have dabbled with a streamlined minimal skincare routine and using just one skincare product and it's still a practice I go back to every so often to give my skin and myself a break. While I love what the 7 skin method does for my skin, sometimes it's also really nice to be on a skip care routine which eliminates unnecessary products in favor of a pared down targeted routine. If there is one thing I have learned, it is that if you're going to do this, a potent multifunctional product that addresses many concerns is the best choice. This latest go around has presented the perfect opportunity to try the cult favorite Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream which has been lauded as the "best skincare in the world" in just 3 years.

The Product
Formulated with water-based ingredients suspended in oils to give it a rich, emollient feel, Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream is a deeply moisturizing cream that helps stimulate skin's natural rejuvenation to revive the complexion and soothe dryness and protect skin from free-radical damage and oxidative stress.

With the backing of 30 years of research, the Rich Cream was developed by Dr. Augustinus Bader, a leading expert in stem cell research. The innovation lies in a specific understanding of how the stem cells in skin are triggered so that it naturally heals itself. The result is the brand's groundbreaking TFC8 (Trigger Factor Complex 8), an exclusive patented technology comprised of high-grade vitamins, lipids, proteins, amino acids and synthesized molecules. This complex creates an optimal environment for cellular renewal take care of itself as it adapts to address individualized concerns including dryness, fine lines and wrinkles, redness, hyperpigmentation, texture and elasticity. What really sets it apart is the way it also trains the skin to improve over time so that it becomes healthier, firmer, and stronger.

This product is vegan and cruelty-free and free of parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, sulfates SLS & SLES, triclocarban, and triclosan. It contains less than one percent synthetic fragrance.

My Experience
Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream is a milky white hue with a lustrous thick creamy texture and no distinguishable scent. It becomes silky upon application and immediately has a hydrating feel as it sinks into the skin. The brand suggests that results really become visible after 27 days as that is the average cycle for every skin cell in the human body to naturally regenerate. I felt like I could see a difference after just one week of usage twice a day. I would massage it in using upward strokes as instructed immediately after cleansing. My skin would drink it right in and  immediately feel ultra nourished. To be honest my skin was in pretty good condition before I started using this moisturizer because I really watch what I eat and get my sleep but there are areas for improvement. Sunspots are my most vexing skin concern. After using the rich cream exclusively for almost two months now,  my skin is plumper, smoother and radiant and it feels balanced. Best of all it is more even toned overall and my dark spots are barely discernible to the eye. They were already faded from steady retinol and vitamin C usage as well as staying out of the sun. My eye area also looks well rested and smooth. The Rich Cream is geared toward those with dry skin. The Cream would probably be better suited to oily skin types.

The Rich Cream is a splurge for sure but I feel like it is worth it as there are so many products out there  that promise magical results and innovation and this actually delivers on both fronts. The elegant formulation is luxurious and it saves me time and money because it eliminates the need for toner, serums and eye cream. More importantly though, I believe in the results I have seen in my skin. I stopped wearing foundation a few years ago and don't plan on going back. This has not only improved my skin, my skin looks fine when I wear it with nothing else but a layer of sunscreen.  I need to go back to working down my skincare stash but I plan on incorporating this cream into my regimen again at some point. It's really nice to have one product that addresses multiple concerns. I don't shy away from pricey skincare as long as it works since I tend to spend very little on makeup and prefer to invest in my skin. I was very fortunate to score this in a set along with the Augustinus Bader Body Cream on sale for $295, an incredible value considering the  face cream alone sells for $265. If you are interested in trying this, the brand does offer a 15 mL trial size for $85 which I believe lasts for a few weeks.

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream can be purchased from Nordstrom, Sephora, SpaceNK, Net-A-PorterBlue Mercury, Saks Fifth Avenue and Revolve.

I would say my routine is pretty minimal on average, but it is more than cleansing and a cream. As someone with oily skin I would probably opt for the lighter version, but so far I haven‘t felt the need to splurge here.

it does sound so expensive but it's great it's worth it for you and if it eliminates a lot of other products the cost probably works out in the long run :)

Hope you are having a nice weekend :) Ours is going to be a quiet one at home!

I would love to try this rich cream. The ingredients sound great and it's great that it's vegan and cruelty free. A product that eliminates the need for other products and can help make our beauty routine simple is definitely worth checking out. I love how hydrating this cream sounds. It's great you were able to see results even before the recommended use of 27 days.

It's nice specially when traveling or when you're too busy to take the 7 steps skincare routine. I'm definitely taking this product in consideration, because I'm one of those "lazy skincare" girls ;)
have a lovely week
